Christian Students Murdered for Jesus

Tears for the Christan Martyr's   Almost daily the reports keep coming in from around the world concerning Christian persecution. The latest: Kenya. It is reported that nearly 150 Christian students were shot in the head for proclaiming themselves to be Christians. 1 Some reports are saying they were "Sifted" out by being asked to recite the Islamic creed. 2   ( click to tweet ) Of course female Christians were easy to identify because they did not cover their heads. Other reports state that many Christians were asked to call their parents before they were shot. 3   ( click to tweet )This tragedy aligns up with all the others that have intensified over the last few years in the Middle east, Africa, Asia, and European nations. According to a report released in March by Gordon-Conwell Seminary, one in four of the world’s Christians live in countries hostile to their faith. At any given moment, 100 to 200 million Christians around the world are being pers...

Christianity is NOT Going Away!

St. Luke being hung   Throughout the ages the Bible has always withstood any ravages against it and Christians have always upheld it for good reason. Through it we learn about God and our eternal destiny. It teaches us, leads us, and through the presence of the Holy Spirit, illuminates us to its truths, while simultaneously, transforming us from one glory (the old man) into another glory (the new man). In it we find hope, comfort, healing, and joy. But not all people share our joy and adoration of the Lord and His word. Today, in America, Christians stand as a people that many believe will be silenced because of our convictions. Vice President Joe Biden is just one of the latest voices to bring such a charge. According to OneNewsNow.com, the VP, with reference to Dr. Ben Carson, not only took the name of the Lord in vain (showing his uncouth behavior -- for from the heart the mouth speaks) but he went on to slam Christians as a shrinking population implying our voice i...

Obedience, Revival and the "Watchers Trinity"

Be Watchful - Be Ready A clear directive from Jesus concerning the final days was that Christians are to pray and Do God's Business [occupy - KJV] till He returns. Despite conditions on earth we are to continue plowing straight ahead with the gospel declaration scattering salt, light, and the fragrance of Christ wherever we go. This has prompted many to believe there could even be a great outpouring of the Spirit—a sort of "Great Awakening"—before Jesus returns. But does the Bible really teach that? Good question. Let's look first at what is said about those days. In Paul's letter to Timothy he clearly lays out the conditions on earth prior to the return of Christ. He states: " But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good...

Persecution and the Great Divide

Family Going to Church!      It's no secret that the church of Jesus Christ was built upon the blood of martyrs. It's a fact often forgotten, unknown, or overlooked. The Christianity we grew up with in the in the Western nations has flourished because of its faithfulness to God's word and its commitment to a moral and ethically based society built upon solid biblical principles. Let's face it, we have gotten used to it. We've become accustomed to living in peace and flourishing with our religious liberties and freedoms of speech. But when these become threatened, as the current tide seems to suggest, how will we react? Will we still follow Jesus? Excerpt " The Sifted Generation " Chpt. 3 (Tweet this)   The Apostle Paul declared, “Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution” (2 Tim. 3:12, emphasis added). (Tweet this) This is an important statement considering the theological spectrum of the sliced and dic...

Christian Persecution in Ukraine and Around the World

- Somalian Persecution Photo -    My heart is bleeding for the believers in the Ukraine, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. I am sending out a request for Men and Women of Christ all over the world to pray for these genuine believers who have stood for Christ in the midst of hate and demonically driven hostility. The senseless targeting of Jesus' children is plain nonsense! The families left behind are hurting along with our Lord who will one day avenge all the deaths of His sons and daughters throughout the ages (see Rev. 6:9-11). I must interject that when one dies to the Lord it is always in keeping with  2 Tim. 3:12, "Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution." David Guzik writes: "It is the way that you live that makes you a martyr, not the way that you die." These men who died in Ukraine did so because they first trusted Christ and were living on mission for Him. Please read the following from Christian Aid Miss...

The Rapture is Near, Share Christ

Recently my wife was speaking to a young mother of five about her relationship to her children's father. The young woman had brought up the subject and my wife told her that as a Pastor's wife and Christian how she felt about getting right with God. She said, you really need to get married. The woman said she agreed and was indeed concerned about it. Then, point blank, and no doubt because of current world events and the anti-Christian cultural shift, she asked my wife, "Are we in the last days?" Brenna was able to share with her the love of Christ and how close we are to His return. People are ripe to hear the truth. They have questions and we have answers. Evangelism does not come easy to most people but if we pray for the Lord to use us in the special way that only He can then opportunities will arise for us to share our faith. All we need to do is listen to His voice and say, "Yes Lord. I will." Ray Comfort is one of the foremost evangelists of...

Hated: Standing Firm - Trusting Christ With the Future

Several years ago, during an otherwise, uneventful night at work, I overheard a coworker state that He was a Christian. This individual held two jobs. One was a printing press operator, right next to me, and another was a backstreet nightclub owner. His passion in life was the night club activities, including sex and wife-swapping, of which he made no bones about his involvement. So I was taken aback when I heard him loudly exclaim, probably for my benefit, that he was an active Christian. I took the bait. It didn't take too long for me to walk over and inquire which church he attended. At that he blew up like a stick of dynamite! In mere moments, the wagons were circled and I was in the center. The shift had heard his loud screaming and atrocious profanity and thought surely someone had a limb stuck in the printing press. Why else would such a loud fuss be made? But that was not quite what they found. Instead they found a middle aged man throwing a temper tantrum and pointing t...
