The Frigidness of Lawlessness and Perverse Sin

But You, O God, shall bring them down to the pit of destruction; Bloodthirsty and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; But I will trust in You (Psalm 55:23)
Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid;'For YAH, the LORD, is my strength and song;He also has become my salvation' (Isaiah 12:2)

This past month has been and will continue to be a trying one for believers across the world. The war of senseless aggression ISIS is waging overseas has barraged us for months with images of savageness such as the world has not witnessed since Hitler, Stalin, Lenin, and Pol-Pot to name a few. City-wide genocides, and the mass persecutions of Christians through beheadings and other despicably atrocious means continues. In America the SBC annual meeting in Columbus, OH. called for spiritual awakening across the land as Christians stood in agreement that our world is heading for destruction. Then, as if what we have seen and heard in the way of bad news is not…

SBC Affirms Traditional Marriage

The Baptist press just released the following which affirms the SBC taking a stance for traditional biblical marriage between one man and one woman:

As Southern Baptist Christians, we are committed to Biblical faith and ethics. As a result, this body of Believers stands on the authority of Scripture and God's Truth as central to our lives.

What the Bible says about marriage is clear, definitive and unchanging. We affirm biblical, traditional, natural marriage as the uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime. The Scriptures' teaching on marriage is not negotiable. We stake our lives upon the Word of God and the testimony of Jesus.

Consequently, we will not accept, nor adhere to, any legal redefinition of marriage issued by any political or judicial body including the United States Supreme Court. We will not recognize same-sex "marriages", our churches will not host same-sex ceremonies, and we will not perform such ceremonies.

SBC's Clarion Call to Repent and Choose Christ

June 16th 2015 marked the beginning of a new era for SBC life in my estimation. As my readers know, a few weeks back my book "The Sifted Generation" was released and in that book I make a call for church leaders and Christians across America to wake up and take note of where they stand with Christ. Ronnie Floyd, President of the SBC, made a similar call. He stated, "We are on the battle ground, not a playground…the alarm clock is going off our in nation...Now is not the time to push the snooze button. Now is the time to lead." Times will certainly be getting rough for church leaders and churchgoers over the coming months. Evil will not back down without a fight. The question is how many believe it? How many are listening?  God, in His justice, is allowing a sweeping move of anti-Christian sentiment to infiltrate this land. He has warned us. He has told us that we are to love Him with all of our heart. But have we? Again, the day is coming when everyone who names…

Going the Distance with Christ

Throughout my life as a Christian I have encountered many different reactions to my walk faith in Christ. Some have been very pleasant and some not so much. One thing I have realized is my faith has propelled me to experience the supreme truth of 2 Timothy 3:12, "Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution." Honestly, when I became a believer I was not really prepared for the things awaiting me when I made it my aim to be obedient in sharing my faith. But there I was and there they were—my Jerusalem—the lost souls of those the Lord placed in my path.

Becoming a Believer
After kneeling before God in prayer outside of my place of employment, God made Himself known to me in a very meaningful way. I have to admit that I had come to a point of brokenness before God. The previous two weeks had found me in a fallen and severely depressed state--despairing even of life. By age nineteen I saw my life going downhill with no clear hope to end the spir…
