Persecution and the Great Divide

Family Going to Church!      It's no secret that the church of Jesus Christ was built upon the blood of martyrs. It's a fact often forgotten, unknown, or overlooked. The Christianity we grew up with in the in the Western nations has flourished because of its faithfulness to God's word and its commitment to a moral and ethically based society built upon solid biblical principles. Let's face it, we have gotten used to it. We've become accustomed to living in peace and flourishing with our religious liberties and freedoms of speech. But when these become threatened, as the current tide seems to suggest, how will we react? Will we still follow Jesus? Excerpt " The Sifted Generation " Chpt. 3 (Tweet this)   The Apostle Paul declared, “Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution” (2 Tim. 3:12, emphasis added). The Rapture is Near, Share Christ

Recently my wife was speaking to a young mother of five about her relationship to her children's father. The young woman had brought up the subject and my wife told her that as a Pastor's wife and Christian how she felt about getting right with God. She said, you really need to get married. The woman said she agreed and was indeed concerned about it. Then, point blank, and no doubt because of current world events and the anti-Christian cultural shift, she asked my wife, "Are we in the last days?" Evangelism does not come easy to most people but if we pray for the Lord to use us in the special way that only He can then opportunities will arise for us to share our faith. All we need to do is listen to His voice and say, "Yes Lord. I will." Ray Comfort is one of the foremost evangelists of...

Hated: Standing Firm - Trusting Christ With the Future

Several years ago, during an otherwise, uneventful night at work, I overheard a coworker state that He was a Christian. This individual held two jobs. One was a printing press operator, right next to me, and another was a backstreet nightclub owner. His passion in life was the night club activities, including sex and wife-swapping, of which he made no bones about his involvement. So I was taken aback when I heard him loudly exclaim, probably for my benefit, that he was an active Christian. I took the bait. It didn't take too long for me to walk over and inquire which church he attended. At that he blew up like a stick of dynamite! In mere moments, the wagons were circled and I was in the center. The shift had heard his loud screaming and atrocious profanity and thought surely someone had a limb stuck in the printing press. Why else would such a loud fuss be made? But that was not quite what they found. Instead they found a middle aged man throwing a temper tantrum and pointing t...
