But here we are several months into the worst crisis our world has faced in my lifetime. Only this time the battle accoutrements are not swords but syringes, not gas masks but ventilators, not helmets but face masks, not iron shields but plexiglass barriers, not camo uniforms but scrubs and hazmat suits. The warriors are fearless heroes and soldiers on the front lines, yes, but they are doctors, nurses, CNA’s, EMT’s, RT’s, and the men in blue and red; all doing their best as they battle this pestilence while saving as many lives as they can. The battle rages, hundreds of thousands are casualties, and thousands more have fallen to the unseen enemy, Covid-19. May God’s protection keep them in this hour of trial. Why is this quote so ludicrous in light of God's Word? Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. Dear brothers and Sisters in Christ in Crimea and the Ukraine, Should you get a chance to read this post, please share with all of your Christian friends that Christians from all over the USA are praying for you at this very moment. We know that many are fearful everyday, especially those with children. I wanted to share that Jesus knows exactly what is going on and that there is much strength in numbers (Ec. 4:12). The Bible is very clear that your part of the world will be involved in great conflict in the last days. Crimea, which also was part of ancient Gomer, (see Map - Gomer also spread northward through Ukraine and into Germany) has now passed back into the hands of Russia. Ezekiel 38-39 clearly reveals Gomer as being one of the Russian allies in the upcoming attack on Israel by Russia. There has never been a cause in history where more innocent blood has been spilt, than for the name of Jesus Christ.  Despite the blessings that come with being obedient to God when our lives come in harmony with the heavenly blueprint, Jesus never kept people ignorant of the sufferings that would also come their way when humbly following His word.  Whether it is internal or external, psychological or mental, He prophesied that the blessings would come ‘with persecutions’ (Mark 10:29, 30).  Jesus knew that His heavenly teachings would be in direct conflict with the self-glorifying, pompous, idolatrous philosophy of the pagan culture’ of the world that His followers would come into contact with and throughout the New Testament there are constant warnings and prophecies from Christ and the apostles of the persecution’ that would follow once they embraced and lived the gospel (Matt. 10:21, 22; Mark 13:12; Luke 21:18; John 16:2; I Cor. 4:11-14; II Ti...
