Truth and The Sifted Generation

One of the most famous quotes in history is Pilate's famous word's to Jesus, "What is truth?" (John 18:38). His remark was in response to Jesus' frank declaration that "...everyone who is of the truth hears my voice" (John 18:37). In today's world, it seems Pilate's words have become a cultural rallying point while Jesus' words...well, not so much. For instance the result of Pilate's words echo loudly over the megaphone of mixed messages that hammer us through non-stop liberal media productions, hopeless political distractions, and drastically liberal theological positions which bring the Christian faith into mockery. All of these, and more, have created a kind of alphabetical soup culture replete with chaos and mixed messages. No wonder so many people live with depression. Unless you are a hermit on a deserted island you will never escape the crescendo of voices pushing, ramming, and clamoring for us to hear and accept their poin...

Truth Inspires: Uninspired Quote of the Week

"If this legislation passes, clergy would not risk church trials or the loss of their credentials for officiating at same-gender weddings or, in some conferences, coming out as openly gay," reported the United Methodist News.* A statement made in reference to a favorable vote of 26 to 10 by the UMC Connectional Table to allow Gay Ministers and Gay weddings in the United Methodist Church. Why is this quote so ludicrous in light of God's Word? Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. (2 Timothy 3:12 NKJV) Join with me in praying for the UMC leaders to make sound decisions in keeping with Christian responsibility and faith toward God. * http://www.umc.org/news-and-media/church-body-seeks-greater-openness-on-human-sexuality    * Photo Credit: hebrewnationonline

Christians Under Fire and "The Sifted Generation"

I am so excited to let everyone know that my new book The Sifted Generation is now available! I do hope you will consider reading it or at least downloading the sample at Kindle. ( Click Here ) The times we live in are changing so quickly. It seems a day does not go by where some example of hostility toward believers is encountered or a believer is challenged to stand for his/her faith. It's these types of trials and tough encounters that Christians have feared for many years. I have been told many times by faithful believers that they just don't know what they would say or do if they were placed in a trying position with reference to their faith. As a matter of fact the most common thing I hear is, "No one really knows how they would respond." And in many cases that is probably true.  Although I have only been faced with being fired from a few secular jobs I can say with empathy it isn't easy to make a public stand. But in each case where I have bee...

When Jesus Returns...

There are a lot of God's soldiers writing about how "good is evil" and "evil is good" and the failures of the humanistic approach to solving all the worlds ills, but honestly speaking, it is my observation that there are more and more of the general populace including Christians putting their heads in the sand. When you look at your neighborhood you see people cutting the grass, driving to work in the rush hour, frequenting the diners and restaurants, bars are filled, mall parking lots are filled, parents are shuttling their kids to school, school yards are full of laughing and running children, and super markets are crowded, birds are tweeting, butterflies are flapping, and bees are buzzing--all is well in peaceful and secure America. It just looks like life is normal and so many would prefer to just rest at ease there and not be reminded of all the works of darkness all around us. For instance, using the list above, how many realize that i...

Memories Pizza Sets Example!

I do not personally know the proprietors of Memories Pizza in Walkerton, Indiana, but I do know that was meant for bad, surrounding RFRA of Indiana, has now been turned into good. And what Memories Pizza is now doing serves as an awesome example to all of us. I think I can speak for all believers when I say that in a day when Christian persecution is on the rise it is refreshing to hear something good! According to a report from the FRC (Family Research Council), because of the generosity of people across America when Memories Pizza was under attack by the political left and the LGBTQ+ crowds and supporters, they were given cash donations totaling $842,000.00!!! 1 May God bless all who gave! But that's not the End of the Story Because they were so blessed they are going to answer another prayer request by giving a portion of their donations to another Christian in the news who has been mercilessly persecuted, Barronelle Stutzman . FRC writes: " Faced with losing her ...

Christian Students Murdered for Jesus

Tears for the Christan Martyr's   Almost daily the reports keep coming in from around the world concerning Christian persecution. The latest: Kenya. It is reported that nearly 150 Christian students were shot in the head for proclaiming themselves to be Christians. 1 Some reports are saying they were "Sifted" out by being asked to recite the Islamic creed. 2   ( click to tweet ) Of course female Christians were easy to identify because they did not cover their heads. Other reports state that many Christians were asked to call their parents before they were shot. 3   ( click to tweet )This tragedy aligns up with all the others that have intensified over the last few years in the Middle east, Africa, Asia, and European nations. According to a report released in March by Gordon-Conwell Seminary, one in four of the world’s Christians live in countries hostile to their faith. At any given moment, 100 to 200 million Christians around the world are being pers...

It's Resurrection Week!!

As shouts of Hosanna ring out across the land I wanted to shout mine out too! This week is by far the most important week in the life of Christ. Oh how He loves you and I!!  This week maginifies one very unique thing about Jesus and that is He not only loves those who believe in Him but He loves all sinners and bids us all to come before Him to receive sweet release. John was right on when he shared that, "We love Him because He first loved us" (1 John 4:19). Can it get any better than that? Hope is written all over that passage and Jesus is the one who brought it. It was this week nearly two-thousand years ago, on a long afternoon, that a weeping widow had to watch her Son die a very cruel death; simultaneously the heavenly Father turned His face from the sin and torture that Jesus was going through. The consolation of obedience was the victory His death would bring over sins penalty of death and hell. But the Bible doesn't leave Jesus on the cross or in the gr...

Christianity is NOT Going Away!

St. Luke being hung   Throughout the ages the Bible has always withstood any ravages against it and Christians have always upheld it for good reason. Through it we learn about God and our eternal destiny. It teaches us, leads us, and through the presence of the Holy Spirit, illuminates us to its truths, while simultaneously, transforming us from one glory (the old man) into another glory (the new man). In it we find hope, comfort, healing, and joy. But not all people share our joy and adoration of the Lord and His word. Today, in America, Christians stand as a people that many believe will be silenced because of our convictions. Vice President Joe Biden is just one of the latest voices to bring such a charge. According to OneNewsNow.com, the VP, with reference to Dr. Ben Carson, not only took the name of the Lord in vain (showing his uncouth behavior -- for from the heart the mouth speaks) but he went on to slam Christians as a shrinking population implying our voice i...

Obedience, Revival and the "Watchers Trinity"

Be Watchful - Be Ready A clear directive from Jesus concerning the final days was that Christians are to pray and Do God's Business [occupy - KJV] till He returns. Despite conditions on earth we are to continue plowing straight ahead with the gospel declaration scattering salt, light, and the fragrance of Christ wherever we go. This has prompted many to believe there could even be a great outpouring of the Spirit—a sort of "Great Awakening"—before Jesus returns. But does the Bible really teach that? Good question. Let's look first at what is said about those days. In Paul's letter to Timothy he clearly lays out the conditions on earth prior to the return of Christ. He states: " But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good...

God Bless Barronelle Stutzman!

Hurray for Barronelle Stutzman, the florist of 37 years in Washington state!! I applaud her for taking a stand for what she believes. Barronelle refused to provide the arrangements for the wedding of a male gay couple (Roger Ingersoll and Curt Freed) who then promptly sued to have her shut down. A Benton County Superior Court Judge had ruled that her decision was a violation of the Law. Afterwards, a bone was thrown to her by the States Attorney Generals office in the hopes of making this go away, asking her to pay a $2000.00 fine, a $1.00 fee for services, and a vow to never discriminate again. Her reply in writing to Bob Ferguson (AG) was as follows: (Photo: Alliance Defending Freedom) “You are asking me to walk in the way of a well-known betrayer, one who sold something of infinite worth for 30 pieces of silver. That is something I will not do.” Again, HURRAY for Barronelle! She is setting the example--forging the path--for other Christians to show the world that they trul...
