Truth Inspires

In John six Jesus had taught some pretty tough things that some seemed to have perceived as imperceptible and hard to understand. He spoke in spiritual language (John 6:63) of what it meant to consume His flesh and His blood (referencing the cross and his sacrifice) comparing it to the manna which fed the children of Israel in her wilderness journeys. " As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me. This is the bread which came down from heaven--not as your fathers ate the manna, and are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever." John 6:57-58 (NKJV) The contrast is well taken. The Manna fed Israel for decades every morning but it melted away in the heat of the day. But God in His faithfulness and, as always, true to His promise provided it for them again the next morning. For years I have wondered how a human being could be described as having the face of an angel. Stephen, the first martyr of the church, is described just like that. A deacon, full of faith, grace, the Holy Spirit, and power. His call was to face down the Sanhedrin of Israel (Supreme Court) and all those standing by with one of the greatest messages of faith found in holy writ. And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and signs among the people. The crucifying and butchering Christians in horrendous fashion and ritual by radical Islam is seeming to become a trend. Christian Persecution is abounding all around the world but more explicitly in Islamic nations. The Main Stream Media is mum about the whole issue but others are not. "The Middle East may be the birthplace of three monotheistic religions, but some Arab nations appear bent on making it the burial ground for one of them." Christian communities could be found in the Arab world for centuries. Even at the turn of the 20th century, Christians made up 26 percent of the population of the Middle East. Once in awhile, especially when my mind is overloaded, I just need to sit and relax with my thoughts. What I find is during those times my mind almost always turns to wondering why so many refuse to believe in Jesus. Some reasons are obvious, fear of what friends and family might think. Fear of walking into a church and wondering what others may think. Fear of losing the party life. Fear of being called hurtful names. The list is endless. But what bothers me most is the attitude that one does need to worry about what God thinks because He is a God of love that would never hold anyone accountable.These are always the first to scream and curse at God the moment tragedy strikes. It is then they become angry because He did not live up to their imaginary view. Having a faulty view of God is one of the biggest hindrances to ones salvation. In many parts of the world springtime will arrive with its flowers and green foliage at the same time as the celebration of the Jewish Passover and the Christian Resurrection Sunday (Easter). The Jewish faithful remember that time when the Lord passed over the homes of Jewish families in Egypt that had marked the doorposts of their homes with the Blood of a Lamb in obedience to Moses' directives, (Ex. 12:21-24). Christians celebrate this date as seeing Jesus as the fulfillment of the Passover Lamb. When John the Baptist first saw Jesus approaching (John 1: 29-31, and the next day, John 1:36) he immediately proclaimed Jesus to be "The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world." The great Apostle Paul also referred to Jesus in this context as, "Christ our Passover, was sacrificed for us," (1 Cor. 5:7). When Friends and skeptics control our decision making processes we betray ourselves by showing our weaknesses and they know it. We are no more than a Lemming at that point; to weak to make decisions on our own! So let me ask, who or what is it that controls your skepticism when it comes to the Bible and believing in Christ Jesus as Lord and Savior? A new survey shows that 19% of the population of America are skeptics of the Bible. According to the survey this percentage is equal to the number of Americans who are very active in reading the Bible. The survey breaks the skeptical 19% down the following way: Digging into the population segmentation of Bible skeptics, we find that two-thirds are 48 or younger (28% Millennials, 36% Gen-Xers), and they are twice as likely to be male (68%) than female (32%). They are more likely to identify as Catholic than any other single denomination or affiliation (30%) and are the most-likely segment not to have attended church (87%) or pray...

Dear brothers and Sisters in Christ in Crimea and the Ukraine, Should you get a chance to read this post, please share with all of your Christian friends that Christians from all over the USA are praying for you at this very moment. We know that many are fearful everyday, especially those with children. I wanted to share that Jesus knows exactly what is going on and that there is much strength in numbers (Ec. 4:12). The Bible is very clear that your part of the world will be involved in great conflict in the last days. Crimea, which also was part of ancient Gomer, (see Map - Gomer also spread northward through Ukraine and into Germany) has now passed back into the hands of Russia. Ezekiel 38-39 clearly reveals Gomer as being one of the Russian allies in the upcoming attack on Israel by Russia.
