“Nothing’s
Gonna Stop Us” is one of the songs on the new cd “Live Like That,” by Side Walk Prophets. The song underscores the
power of the blood-bought church of the Lord in these last days. Literally
there is nothing that can or will stop the Lord Jesus Christ accomplishing His
work in His church. If we allow the onslaught of evil that is being hurled
against the Lord, His Church and His Word to bring us down then we have taken
our eyes off of Christ and His everlasting promises. It is He that has defeated
all demonic forces of evil having triumphed over them and made a spectacle of
them through the cross (see Col. 2:15). The onslaught within and without the
Church only underscores what deception and real evil looks like under the
surface. Evil is simply evil—Sin simply
destroys—deception is a killer.
As I was
perusing the news this weekend reading of the activism against and within the Church
and other horrific stories of corruption on the world scene I could easily see
why so many would say the Church is dead or irrelevant in America. That is what
it looks like. But God has His remnant! Hallelujah!! But seriously, what a
mission field there is—what an opportunity to preach Jesus! Two to three
generations of lostness boldly showing their faces in the strength of numbers. But
Jesus is not scared! Neither should His church be! I am not ashamed of the
gospel is the cry of truth!! Paul tells us in Romans 8:31-39:
31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall bring a charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written: "For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter." 37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
So if world
situations, Church apostasy or the corruption of darkness that make up this
world stage begin to get you down, just remember Christ is the Victor, All
things are accountable to Him and because of your faith and your positional
standing in Christ Jesus (see Eph. 2:6) He has qualified you to be on the
receiving end of His intercession (see Heb. 7:25). All we are asked to do is too stand strong
in the Power of His might! (see Eph. 6:13-14) As an added peace and for your
comfort see the verse below:
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy--meditate on these things. Philippians 4:8 (NKJV)
May the peace of God abundantly overflow in your heart this
day!!!
God Bless!!
