Make Way for the Lord!

I have a message that God has laid firmly upon my heart. After reading it you may think I am a harsh, unkind, unloving, and intolerant. So be it. I can only say what is on my heart. I have tried for years to simply tell the good news of the gospel, diligently working to spread the love of Christ. But the time has come that I can no longer be silent. I must speak my heart. God’s judgment is nearing and I have no recourse except to bring the message He has laid upon my heart.

Every day I hear more and more stories of how Pastors and denominations are moving closer and closer to the dark side; how national leaders are embracing unholy lifestyles and sickening hurtful sin, all in the name of tolerance. It is not my desire to name names but the issue stems from the fundamental lie that we all (at one time or another) have adhered too. That lie being, “God is not going to condemn you if…” You …can finish the sentence. How many times have we been asked this question or asked it to ourselves …or our friends? Honestly speaking, we would never ask the question if there weren’t some sort of doubt surrounding the actions we are intending to engage in. That question alongside of our postmodern thinking—that you really have to do something very, very bad in order to invoke God’s ire (if it could be invoked at all) is what is helping to bring Christianity down to a new low and incur God’s wrath on earth. The common person on the street will answer the question “Do you believe you will go to heaven?” with “Yes. At least I hope so! I am not a bad person.”  Generally speaking, and according to worldly standards, none of us are bad persons. But since when have the world’s standards been authoritatively inline with the Bibles standards?

Because God’s standards are not even close to those of the world, the prophet Daniel can be found in chapter nine of his book lamenting the outcome of marrying the world with the Lord. In 586 B.C., Judah and Jerusalem had fallen decisively to the Babylonians after refusing to heed the warnings and repeated cries to repent and turn back to God, from those God sent to her--His prophets. The result was the subsequent 70 years of captivity in Babylon, of which Daniel was a part. In His prayer of repentance for his nation Daniel correctly recognized the following:

13 As it is written in the Law of Moses, all this disaster has come upon us; yet we have not made our prayer before the LORD our God, that we might turn from our iniquities and understand Your truth. 14 Therefore the LORD has kept the disaster in mind, and brought it upon us; for the LORD our God is righteous in all the works which He does, though we have not obeyed His voice. Daniel 9:13-14 (NKJV)

Do those words of Daniel mean anything at all? Are they just words from a fanatic who was feeling sorry for the situation he was in? Or, are they the words of a man who longed to see the healing power of God in the hearts of his people? Words that tell a story of truth and the pain it inflicts when it is not heeded?

For months I have hurt inside, as a matter of fact, all over my body. I cannot sleep peacefully at night and I toss and turn in fear for our nation (USA) and the things that are about to come upon it and the world. We as a nation, are like Judah of old. We have disdained the words of God and laughed in the face of His truth. We have allowed immorality to reign in our hearts and in our lives. We have become weak in our ethics and no longer have the backbone to say, “Enough is enough.” We have allowed homosexuality to chip away at the root of what is natural according to God’s truth and we have embraced it. We have allowed godlessness to be the tutor of our children and as a result, generations of children are being led into paths set on fire with the cinders of hell! Is it their fault? No it is ours. We have turned from God and we no longer fear His word and His commandments. Our politicians make Godless decisions because they were raised in a Godless manner. Even our churches, which are supposed to be the bastions of truth, bringing light and hope into a world of darkness, are darkened themselves. Many in leadership balk at anything that may offend…especially God’s word. They scorn His word and only speak the things that make others feel good--the safe things. Why? Why must this be so? The falling away has gone into to full swing. There is no longer a healthy fear the Lord. We feel He is no longer relevant and that His words were written for another day, another culture, another society, a naïve people far away from our day, and we have grown beyond that. He is not to be reverenced or really acknowledged. The Tower of Babel looms ominously overhead and around us casting its foreboding shadow and we proudly sit high up on its precipice saying “more, more, more” to the offerings and temptations of Satan. This nation has surrendered its sovereignty and love for God to dark forces in exchange for their wares. In return we peddle these evil deeds. The Bible declares that Satan is the “god of this world” and we have loved him unwittingly. The coming days will bring to this world sights such as they have never seen before. As John the Baptist once stated at the beginning of the ministry of Christ, “the axe is laid to the root of the tree,” and we are in its path. We must begin to make way for the Lord! ”Make straight paths for Him,” he declared, “Repent,” we must turn to the living God. Truly there are judgments that are coming to this world and those who have not sought refuge in the Lord and become an adherent of His truth, will be victims to these horrendous things coming to pass. Mark my words…He is showing us the signs daily…it is coming and so is He. Quickly, He will come and go, leaving behind all the darkness the nation has learned to love. Can that society save you, oh scoffer of God?

My body aches because my heart has moved from compassion and tender mercies to warning and alarm. My mind tells me not to be too rough, but in patience, tenderly call out and invite others to Christ; but my heart says that that time is passing. God’s call to come to Him and repent while believing upon the Lord Jesus Christ is closing. The door to the ark is beginning to be lifted and the judgment of God is about to fall. Hear Him now. Listen for His call. He bids you take heed. He is coming and His judgment is sure. Do not be like those who say, “The Lord is delaying His coming, live today as you did yesterday and tomorrow all the more.” If you do…be warned! You will be caught unaware and the Lord who looks into the deepest recesses of your very heart knows what your true intents are. You will not escape. There will be no place to hide!

It is true that He loves us and it is true that He tenderly calls, wanting to bring blessing into your lives. But it is also true that He is a just God. Unforgiven sin against Him, our nation, ourselves, and others will be judged. He is Holy. He will show Himself to be so. The days are coming. Soon the earth will reel to and fro like a drunkard just as the prophet says (see Isa. 24:20 below).

The only chance for you to escape what is coming, is to honestly and fearfully turn your heart to Jesus! Time is running out………

1 Behold, the LORD makes the earth empty and makes it waste, Distorts its surface And scatters abroad its inhabitants.
2 And it shall be: As with the people, so with the priest; As with the servant, so with his master; As with the maid, so with her mistress; As with the buyer, so with the seller; As with the lender, so with the borrower; As with the creditor, so with the debtor.
3 The land shall be entirely emptied and utterly plundered, For the LORD has spoken this word.
4 The earth mourns and fades away, The world languishes and fades away; The haughty people of the earth languish.
5 The earth is also defiled under its inhabitants, Because they have transgressed the laws, Changed the ordinance, Broken the everlasting covenant.
6 Therefore the curse has devoured the earth, And those who dwell in it are desolate. Therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, And few men are left.
7 The new wine fails, the vine languishes, All the merry-hearted sigh.
8 The mirth of the tambourine ceases, The noise of the jubilant ends, The joy of the harp ceases.
9 They shall not drink wine with a song; Strong drink is bitter to those who drink it.
10 The city of confusion is broken down; Every house is shut up, so that none may go in.
11 There is a cry for wine in the streets, All joy is darkened, The mirth of the land is gone.
12 In the city desolation is left, And the gate is stricken with destruction.
13 When it shall be thus in the midst of the land among the people, It shall be like the shaking of an olive tree, Like the gleaning of grapes when the vintage is done.
14 They shall lift up their voice, they shall sing; For the majesty of the LORD They shall cry aloud from the sea.
15 Therefore glorify the LORD in the dawning light, The name of the LORD God of Israel in the coastlands of the sea.
16 From the ends of the earth we have heard songs: "Glory to the righteous!" But I said, "I am ruined, ruined! Woe to me! The treacherous dealers have dealt treacherously, Indeed, the treacherous dealers have dealt very treacherously."
17 Fear and the pit and the snare Are upon you, O inhabitant of the earth.
18 And it shall be That he who flees from the noise of the fear Shall fall into the pit, And he who comes up from the midst of the pit Shall be caught in the snare; For the windows from on high are open, And the foundations of the earth are shaken.
19 The earth is violently broken, The earth is split open, The earth is shaken exceedingly.
20 The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, And shall totter like a hut; Its transgression shall be heavy upon it, And it will fall, and not rise again.
21 It shall come to pass in that day That the LORD will punish on high the host of exalted ones, And on the earth the kings of the earth.
22 They will be gathered together, As prisoners are gathered in the pit, And will be shut up in the prison; After many days they will be punished.
23 Then the moon will be disgraced And the sun ashamed; For the LORD of hosts will reign On Mount Zion and in Jerusalem And before His elders, gloriously. Isaiah 24:1-23 (NKJV)

It is my hope that you will heed the word’s of Christ who said:

12 "And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last."
14 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. Revelation 22:12-14 (NKJV)

16 "I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.Revelation 22:16 (NKJV)
Maranantha!

Amen brother,

You're not the only one that's looked out at the world and felt the spirit tugging at your heart like this. The hour is late - we have much to do.

Rob
Yes we do my brother! The hour is late. The things that are beginning to unfold on planet earth will be scoffed at just as Isaiah says. We have already seen the myriads of excuses the unbeliever gives when the Lord allows the earth to tremble. It is only going to get worse. The coming weeks and months are going to declare the glory of God. He will be hallowing His Holy Name. The years ahead will be full of turmoil, strife, never ending pleas for peace. But the only peace the world can offer is fleeting. God is the judge. It is time for Americans, So-Called-Christians, and the world to look deep into their hearts and explore their motives. God knows the heart. He also knows the pretender. He will not be mocked. His longsuffering has taken us this far but our actions and disdain for Him will bring nothing but His wrath. I love America and I love the people. But the sins of our nation have reached His throne. It is about time for the temple to be cleansed. God Bless you Rob. May your family be taken into His Holy arms.Even if we do not see each other here we will fellowship and server together in eternity. Praise to the Lord!
Bro. Mike

25 Reasons to Believe - In Jesus FREE EBOOK

FREE EBOOK click to download - When book comes up click down arrow on Upper Right to save a copy . A while back the Barna Group released a report titled, "Six Reasons Young Christians Leave Church." 1  Under reason two, " Teens’ and twenty-somethings’ experience of Christianity is shallow" they write:  "A second reason that young people depart church as young adults is that something is lacking in their experience of church. One-third said “church is boring” (31%). One-quarter of these young adults said that “faith is not relevant to my career or interests” (24%) or that “the Bible is not taught clearly or often enough” (23%). Sadly, one-fifth of these young adults who attended a church as a teenager said that “God seems missing from my experience of church” (20%)."  If one takes a look at the modern church-scape I can see why. The gap between those pastors and teachers that are fired up about Jesus and those that do not preach all of th...

Fornication - The Acceptable Sin?

In the Bible there are several sexual sins that are categorized under the term,"Sexual Immorality." Not the least of these is, "Fornication." However fornication has become an outdated, and in many places, the acceptable sin in the late twentieth and twenty-first centuries. As a matter of fact, many do not even know what the term "fornication" means. Since the advent of the modern Bible translation, many have never heard of it. This article focuses on what the Scripture says about this out-of-control acceptable sin. Fornication is mentioned thirty-six times in the Bible (MT), thirty-two times in the New Testament. In almost all modern translations the word has been substituted with, "sexual immorality" and has come to mean any number of sexual sins. However, sin (missing the mark) is still sin and sin still separates a person from God. So why has this sin become so acceptable even in modern churches???? UPDATE : Here is a testimony of life...

The Bride of Christ Has Made Herself Ready!!

The Bible teaches of an upcoming Wedding Day that the Church should be on cloud nine over!! Rev. 19:7-9 states: Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come , and His wife has made herself ready." And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. Then he said to me, "Write: 'Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!' " And he said to me, "These are the true sayings of God." The passage above speaks of two distinct events, the Marriage of the Lamb and the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. Both of these events are reminiscent of the ancient Jewish wedding ceremony where the Bride would become betrothed to her Groom and he would go away to build her a home. In the meantime she would wait anxiously for his return with shouts from his wedding party of "The Bridegroom Comes!" When the shouts were he...

Understanding Grace…without it no one can be saved!

Years ago as a pastor, I faced an issue concerning the topic of “Grace.” I had noticed some congregants who were taking Grace to the extreme and beginning to teach that since our sins were bought and paid for at the cross—all of them, past, present, and future—there was no need to strive against sin. Thanks to our Lord, this was noticed and the He quickly allowed it to be curbed. This heresy occasionally rears its head in Christian circles and indeed must be stopped before it becomes out-of-control. The good thing is that a proper understanding of Grace can arrest the heresy in its steps. Because this false perception thrives in loose living, many well-meaning Christians go completely to the opposite extreme and throw the Biblical teaching of “Grace” out altogether. That too is heresy. How should we approach it? Grace, as a doctrine, should always be presented in its entirety. By that I mean, a starting definition, followed by why it is important, and concluding with keeping it scri...

Guest post: Hind's Feet

Adrian Bateman, 2016          The Lord God is my strength; He will make my feet like hind’s feet, And He will make me walk on my high hills. — Habakkuk 3:19 For most human beings the primary goal of life, after survival, is the pursuit of happiness. Indeed it’s one of an American’s “unalienable rights”. But what is happiness? The definition of happy is surely situationally derived. For the hungry it would be having enough food; for the homeless, a home. For the average person it might be having more time, more leisure, more friends, more comforts, more things. Ultimately, happiness involves the removal of obstacles and the correction of problems so that we might live a life without struggle. Or, at least, without what we view as onerous or unnecessary struggle. But this is not God’s definition of happiness. No. True peace—biblical peace, that deep inner peace which we cannot explain—is found only in the presence of G...
